This has been quite a busy week at Lucky Duck Farms.
The weather has finally broken and we seem out of this cold snap. Pipes are thawing, the sun is shining and the ducks and geese are out & about.
We are officially official - dba, blog and all. We will be raising pastured heritage breeds of poultry and pigs for local families and ourselves. Duck eggs and breeding stock will be available in the spring.
We have ordered Tamworth piglets for the spring and are just narrowing our choice for turkey breeds. White Holland and Jersey Buffs are my top turkeys, but I'm still doing my research. We still have Khaki Campbells and I'm trying to find a local farm to get Welsh Harlequin ducklings.
